Cause we're from Cali and that's how we roll

Mother's Day started with the traditional family breakfast at the Parents' Homestead. Ken fixed his usual eggs, hashbrowns, assorted breakfast meats and lots of transfats. The benefit is that I don't have to cook or clean up. There's a bonus that just about everything is naturally gluten and dairy free (eggs, potatoes and meat) so Sean can eat virtually everything too. That's a huge relief!

Next, I dropped my kids off at home and my mom, sister and I headed out to a movie: Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (Click HERE for a link to my movie-review blog.) We snuck in cans of Diet Coke and shared a bag of Kettle Korn and some Red Vines. Then it was off to Chevy's for some loaded nachos and an uber-decadent Ooey-Gooey-Chewy Sundae!

Afterwards, I headed home, packed up the kids, and drove thru In-n-Out Burger on our way to Muir Beach. The kids frolicked in the waves (do not tell my all-too-masculine teenage boys that I associated the word frolick with anything they've done!) and I lounged on a quilt, sipping a Diet Coke and finishing Mary Karr's The Liars Club.

Definitely the perfect end to the perfect day!

2 Leavin' me some love!:
