Homework is a struggle for Sean. He refuses to do it if I am not home, sitting right there with him. He doesn't need my help, he just needs my encouragement and presence. So I make room for him at my sewing desk. I can blog or websurf or Facebook and he gets his homework done. It's never a battle, thank heavens. This is what works for us.
I've been crocheting since my grandmother taught me, when I was just 8 years old. I love it. It's not just relaxing, but it creates something too. Lately, I've been making little hats and headbands for Skye. I've created a really cute three-petal flower that I've turned into hair clips and attached to some inexpensive elastic hairbands I found at the dollar store! Skye LOVES them! She can't wait to wear them to school tomorrow!

1 Leavin' me some love!:
I wish I knew how to do that!!! My grandmother refused to teach me how to crochet because I'm both handed and it annoyed her that I favored my left hand.
